The Classic-Shaving-Blog is a soundboard for men who are “Classic Shavers” and use classic shaving products to get the best shave ever.
If you had a father or grandfather who shave the “old fashioned way” with a straight razor or maybe a double-edged razor, you know how they would lather up with a mug shave brush that was all of part of the wet shave experience.
Shaving this way was a time-honored tradition of giving men the perfect shave – close, and free from irritation that regular shaving can cause.
Turns out the old way of getting a shave was better for your skin, a classic shave was closer shave, and far less expensive when compared to shaving with the over-marketed plastic disposable razors we see on TV and in stores today. Classic shaving is cheaper and better!

This is a great blog!!! I like your article very much and I’ll subscripe to it if you post more articles like this! I’m a huge fan of doing things the “old fashioned” way, and this is right up my alley.
I switched back to a DE razor after using disposables for years, I’m pleasantly reminded of the good, close shave I get with my DE. The real bonus has been the savings, because my replacement blades are dirt cheap. I’m also happy spending some more time when I shave, and using the brush and shave mug too.
Not only does this take me back, but I actually like shaving again!
